Granville Petro Patch Putty 0455 – Petrol Diesel Fuel Tank Metal Leak Repair

Granville Petro Patch Putty 0455 is a hand-kneadable, non-rusting, steel-reinforced epoxy repair putty designed for fast and permanent repairs to ferrous metals and aluminium.

The two components are supplied together in a convenient rod, with the curing agent encapsulated inside the contrasting base material. Simply cut or twist off the required amount and knead until a uniform colour is achieved. Its putty-like consistency helps prevent drips and runs, allowing a clean application without specialist tools.

Ideal for repairing leaks and cracks in petrol tanks, diesel tanks and water tanks, as well as pipes, tools, equipment and cracked castings. Once cured, Petro Patch dries to a dark grey finish and can be drilled, sanded or painted.

Directions for Use

For optimum adhesion, ensure the repair area is free from grease, oil and dirt. Scuffing or abrading the surface before cleaning can help improve the bond.

Cut or twist off the required amount and knead with your fingers until a uniform colour is obtained. Apply within approximately 2 minutes of mixing, forcing the material firmly into cracks or damaged areas.

The epoxy begins to harden after approximately 5–10 minutes and is completely hardened after approximately 30 minutes, after which it can be drilled, sanded or painted.
